Today I had to buy my diagnostic equipment for clinic. We don't start for 2 trimesters, but since we now have physical diagnosis we have to learn how to do clinical procedures so when we get to clinic we can perform competently. So, for otoscope, opthalmascope, stethoscope, blood pressure cuffs and monometer, tuning forks, thermometer, and some other random stuff....$900!!!!!!!!!!
Naturally that comes out of pocket and the school does nothing to help you pick up that cost. The only consolation is that when we go into practice we can write off the purchase of those items as a business expense. So 900 plus whatever books cost this trimester. It should be a good time.
Boards are Friday at 8am. I could use some prayers. I feel a certain sense of peace about me, but I really need to get more studying done.
I'm currently reading The Shack by William P. Young. Its a great book so far about a man who spends a weekend in a Shack with the three persons of God. I'm a huge fan and would recommend you look into it.
No school tomorrow for comp boards and no school friday for national boards. So it should be a good weekend.
