The Economy
The Issue: Government intervention in the economy imperils both the personal freedom and the material prosperity of every American.
The Principle: The free market, which respects individual rights in voluntary trade with other individuals, should be allowed to function unhindered by government. The only proper role of government in the

But do you realize what just the economy part of that portion would do to this country?
Without taxes where is the government going to get any money? And before you say well they'll cut things...what do you think they should cut? education? our troops? maybe aid to the poor
And you say they should repeal all control over wages and rents and such. Okay. Well where do you think the control for min. wage comes from? How much do you think your rent would cost if businessed could do as they pleased. What about price guaging? Then business could have charged whatever they wanted for fresh water in the Katrina area just because they knew people would say anything for it.
They want a repeal of ALL federal organizations not created by the Constitution. Where do you think we would be right now without them. How do you think America would have made it through the Great Depression? Which ones do you think are unnecessary?
First off I agree that people should have more responsibility. But they don't. Drunk driving for example. People should just be allowed to do that? Or should there be a law that says "No sir/madame you can't go out and get plastered and kill someone" Drinking and drugs laws are there to prevent the occurrence of "acting stupid." People get raped, rape others, murder or be murdered, or harm other people while under the influence. So while under your system people may pay the consequence for their actions, who really gets punished...the person who is affected and harmed by the perwson under the infulence. Don't the innocent have rights too? The right to be protected from people who could harm them?
You're right. laws won't stop the youth. But when they get caught, they need to know there's a consequence.

The government has a ton of unecessary organizations. Social security for example, which I went over already. The great depression ended mostly in part to world war 2. Governments started spending, money started circulating, and the economies began to thrive, not to mention the money we made from selling things to the nations at war BEFORE we joined. I did not say I agreed 100% with what they believe, but it's still close. some things I do believe we need taxes for. Mainly protection and education. I'm also confidant that it's possible to come up with a better way to run education than the way the government does it. Aid to the poor should not be a continuing thing. Give them some $ to keep them on their feet, train them for a job, and get them working again, no need to keep it going for years. MOST people who recieve money for unemployment do not stay on it long anyways. They can be kept on their feet by charities and communities. Yes I know right now no one would think of that, but that's why I also said it was only the tip of the ice berg.
Businesses have charged what they want for water anyways, price gouging only occurs because people let it, and rent would not cost outrageously like you think because then the business would make absolutely no money what-so-ever, and send the whole economy into poverty and homelessness, which in turn would be terrible for the business in the long run. They aren't stupid, they wouldn't spell their own doom.
Overall, it's not so much of offense as just stuff that I thought needed to be said. I like thinking like this, it gets the mind working well, but let's make sure we don't get outta hand ok? I'm cool for it, and I like hearing different sides to things. :-P
