Ok, so we got SO robbed today in the hockey game.
We start off to a good start. We dominate play for the most part. Puck gets knocked out to Gess at the point, who rips the shot from the point. The shot proceeds to go INTO the net, usually counting as a goal.... HOWEVER, the refs had a different idea. They decided to call a penalty after tha play and call the goal back. so our 1-0 lead was now a 0-0 tie. So the rest of the first period proceeds a 0-0 tie. Then Jeff got 5 for fighting and kicked out of the next two games. so SC then scores on the Power Play (PP) to get a 1-0 lead (which in my book should be 1-1). During the first minute or so of the 2nd period, a weird-o bounce from a pass put the puck in our own net.. I don't blame our defense, shit happens. so that makes it 2-0 (2-1 in my book). So SC has scored a total of one goal, and we have 2... neither of which counted for US. So the game goes back and forth (Very hard fought, great game to watch) until the end of the third period. I won a face-off back to gess, who passed it to mayo, who shot it. The puck sailed and hit me in the ribs (where there's no padding). It then bounced ALMOST into the goal, where Frizz picked it up and buried it. that puts us at 2-1 with a minute and a half to go (thus making it 2-2 in my book). couple seconds wear down, and the puck gets knocked into the corner. I get it, pass it out to Gess, who proceeds to fire another goal scoring shot from the point... Well guess what... the ref called another coincidental minor in the corner AFTER the puck went in. They still called it no goal. Pure bullshit. Score is still 2-1 (3-2 us in my book). We pull mike to get an extra attacker, but after a little bit they manage to get a breakaway and score an empty net goal, finishing the score at 3-1 (3-2 us still in my book because there would have been NO empty net if the score were called right). So we scored a total of 4 goals, one of which counted for us. One of the best games I've seen us play, and we got robbed. Plain and simple
