Do I agree with everything that our President and government do? No, of course not. But I do think that our lives are far more better than those who live in Africa. And I think you should maybe think about how lucky you are to live here. As for the war: Yeah, we shouldn't be over there. But we are. And our men and women are fighting for us and the Iraqies. The least you could do is say the pledge each morning to support THEM. not the WAR. them, as people, fighting to keep you safe. So when you go to Africa and say they live better than you and come back and serve for our country and you still feel the same way, then go ahead and refuse to say the pledge.

dearest anonymous, sure im lucky i live here, but who is to say that America is better than say, Europe or Australia... and how exactly are they keeping us safe... we shouldn't be over there... and we are fighting this war for our benefits, not anyone else's ... and yes i have been to africa...haha.. as matter of fact lived there for a due amount of time.. i know what its like.. so i will refuse to say the pledge... becuase frankly i would be a hypocrite if i did say it... and danielle i don't think this person makes any valid points... i have to disagree with you

I've been thinking and we've had some discussions in current events about stuff like this. My views are slowly starting to change, finding more and more stuff that America has done over the years that aren't in the history books because we can be idiots. anyway, i will still say the pledge. how conformist of me.

au revoir

its not comformist to say the pledge, if you believe in saying the pledge, do it... and because you have different views on things won't change how i think about you.... but flip-flopping your views will.... but don't worry about it.. there are alot of issues that i don't know were i stand... and maybe the more i learn about issues the more solid my views will become
