To Supernatural Fans:

Carver here:

I've been hearing (from my old publisher, who's been wonderful in keeping me updated despite the bankruptcy my books placed her company in) a lot of questions from long-time fans, mostly concerning rumors that have spread since the convention. One of the reasons for this blog being to get in touch with fans, I thought I'd answer a few of your questions.

The question I've heard the most: Were there really ghosts at the convention?
Of course not. While I may walk a fine line between reality and fiction (as some fans have noted, stories like the Ghostfacers concern real people), the stories I tell are just that: stories. Whatever convention-goers may have told you is likely an exaggeration of the events.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the amazingly talented people behind the convention: Jon Bruce, especially, did an amazing job setting up a convincing and terrifying game for the LARPers among the fans. The gruesome quality of the ghosts and the real life basis for the haunting made everyone's experience during the game properly supernatural.

The next most common question: Are you starting publishing again?
I don't know. There has been fan interest - the cheers of the crowd at the convention made me sure of it - and there is an investor in Sweden who is very interested in getting further books published - and I have material ready to go.
But I'm not sure that where the storyline is going is appropriate, right now. I won't say anything specific, but the mythology of the series expands like crazy with these new stories, and it incorporates a lot of current events in ways people might find offensive. Honestly, I found some of this material offensive, and I wrote it!

If the series never gets picked up, I realize that it ended in a way that felt incomplete. So, to make it up to you, I'm willing to summarize the events of the stories, as they would have been published.

What do you think?
