The weekend is here... YAY!!!!!

I'm afraid I consider last night's meal for Anime night an utter failure. I was trying a honey fried chicken and it was just awful. As crazy as this sounds, I may try the recipe again. (I probably will NOT fix it for others, just me.) Before I went to bed, I think I have figured out a way to fix it. I don't know if it'll work but I want to try it again.

Rodant made up for it by bringing over the Young Ones. I laughed like crazy and was grossed out at the same time. Talk about CRUDE British humor!!!! I remember my first impression of Young Ones was Vyvian leaning his head out of a train window and having his head come off. He pulled the chord and went to get his head which was on the ground.

"You took your bloody time," he told his body. His body kicked his head around the railroad ties. It was gross (blood!) and funny as hell. I remember thinking that Vyvian was my new hero! :-D We also watched Fruits Basket, Jubei-Chan (Secret of the Lovely Eyepatch), and Invader Zim.

On Wednesday of this week, I went to my annual physical for donating plasma. Miss Carol (MC) did my physical. The physical is actually easy. They take no blood or urine samples. (They take blood samples when you donate so they don't need to during the actual physical.) She mostly asked about my international travel and if I ever received any blood transfusions or medical help in Europe, past surgeries, my past blood tests, and my allergic reactions. She was somewhat surprised that I was allergic to amoxilin. (My doctor has also told me that I am more than likely allergic to penicillin as well.)

After this discussion, I got up and walked for her in a straight line. When I turned back, I put out my arm and said "come, Percy!" and galloped back.

"Michelle, please!" MC said, "Try to act normal."

"This IS normal for me," I told her.

I sat down on the medical bench and she took out a stethoscope. "This may feel a bit cold."

She put it on my back up near my lungs. I took in a sudden breath, "And by cold, you mean Arctic. Did you stick this in a freezer, knowing I was coming??"

"Deep breaths, please."

"Well... it's not like something that cold gives you a choice!"

She listened to my lungs and switched to the front and took a listen to my heart.

"Okay... lie down. I'm going to press on your stomach...."

"Okay." Now normally... this is a purely medical procedure that doesn't bother me at all but MC accidentally pressed softly on my ribs. I burst out laughing and couldn't stop. I'm NOT normally ticklish but... what can I say... no one has touched my ribs in over three years. I was a bit sensitive.

MC burst out laughing too, "Will you please STOP!?"

"I did NOT do it! You're the one pressing around the stomach and ribs! Totally NOT my fault."

"You seem to be in perfect health!" she sat down at her desk, "Height?"

"5'7"."

"Weight?"

"Hovers around 135 pounds."

"So skinny, healthy, and well built," she grinned, "God, I hate people like you!"

"It's okay. I'm awkward in dating and have terrible social skills so it evens out."

She burst out laughing as she wrote down my stats. "Take your shoes off please," she told me.

"Seriously?" my eyebrows went up, "Why?"

"To see if there is any swelling around your ankles."

"Oh, okay. I should get dinner or something for all this... pushing on my stomach, sticking cold things on me, taking my shoes off... sad that this is the kinkiest date I've had in over three years."

She was laughing so hard, she was tearing up.

I'm okay to donate plasma....
