As friend from high posted a video about some congressman who created an argument using the bible as evidence that the impact we are having on our planet is negligible.

She disagreed with this video. I did too and a guy we went to school with stated he wasn't convinced that global warming was occurring. I put my 2 cents in, but a lot of posting happened while i was sleeping . I wanted to respond, but the back and forth was over and i didn't want to add anymore drama. So below is my response.

Pls note he posted this link to scientists who also do not believe in global warming:

I will say this ( sorry to keep talking about it) : like I said MY main concern is that we DO something about our impact on the planet. I don't care WHAT you call it! THAT is what is important. Fine, maybe the earth ISN'T warming. BUT we are impacting this planet and WE are going to pay the consequences. This whole issues is another example of how we dismiss an entire issue because of semantics. We shouldn't waste time arguing about what to call this or anything else. I am so worried that all this time debating this issue will prevent us from changing our ways to be more careful about we treat the world around us. As someone who learned a lot about the climate since the creation of the earth, I have learned one truth. We can disappear tomorrow and it wouldn't matter, the earth would fix itself. The earth is very good at healing itself. We have to worry about our lives and our descendant's.

I posted the response. I couldn't help it! We shouldn't be debating this issue. We should be thinking of cleaner living on this planet to ensure our kids and relatives have a clean place to live.
