Blond Moments

bringing you your weekly dose of "Laughing at Shaz"

This week is promising to be brilliant.

It's 2pm on Monday and thus far I have managed the following:

>>> I LEFT my pendrive of lecture notes AND fic in a library computer.

This means I can't post anymore fic until tomorrow (maybe tonight when I get home) OR access my lecture notes until WEDNESDAY! *WAILS*

(it's all AJ's fault I plugged it into the damn computer too! *growls*)

---

>>> We have these evil!white!stairs of death leading up to the clinical school. B & I went to get coffee between classes, and on the way we were discussing how before we graduate, we'll probably both stack it fairly spectacularly down the evil!white!stairs of death.

After class, guess what? Yup.

I was about five or six stairs from the bottom, yakking away to M (the diver to whom I made my 'I don't sew' regarding a knitted jumper comment too a while ago) when my foot just... well...

Apparently, it looked quite spectacular. I appeared to leap off the stairs apparenly, land miraciously on the last step, and then bounded across the pavement, doing a couple of 360's as I tried to regain my balance, and ended up wobbling on the edge of the curve going ZOMGWTF I ALMOST DIED!

---

>>> We have an electronic scale in the shop to weigh South Africa products, and for some reason the scale keeps beeping. Apparently the scale has to be sitting just right or it continually beeps.

I wasn't aware of this - I'd looked at the scale a few minutes earlier, and decided it was 'wonky' because it wobbled when you touched it, so I adjusted one of the legs until it didn't wobble on the desk.

Ultimately, my mother spent a good five minutes explaining to me that you CAN'T just adjust the scale because of said beeping, while I tried to tell her scale was WONKY and wonky is NOT GOOD (especially for someone who chronically lines her pens and pencils up so they sit JUST SO on her desk... not to mention the hours of time devoted to keeping her bookshelf and shoeshelf organised JUST SO).

In the end, I concluded, quite loudly, that the desk probably isn't square because the scale beeps if you square it with the desk. Dale & Dad both KILLED themselves laughing.

...

You know, maybe it's just a sign of how truly blond I am being, but I honestly don't get it. Really. I told them that. And that made them laugh louder.

...

I really don't get it. This happened a few hours ago, and I'm still trying to puzzle out WHY they laughed so much, because apparently it was pretty damn funny

---

A is on the phone to Mom at the moment. WOE. WHY did I choose that call of all calls not to answer?

*sigh*

*misses*

*sigh*

On another note - I have thus far attended ALL my classes today (WHOO!) which is a distinct improvement compared to the usual 1 out of 4 for a monday *beams proudly*

a, silliness
