Indignation
We went to Mongo's tonight, just to visit, and this band was setting up called appropriately "The Vegitations" Nancy was wearing one of their shirts, and they "appeared" to be reggae, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. As soon as they started to play I was shocked that ANYONE would book this band. It sounded like the cast from ants on helium doing this horrible bubble gum reggae, oh, did I mention they are all white boyz? At least two of them had dreads, but that's just not enough. Carl had confused them with the Meditations, who are a really GREAT band, and we have seen them live. So he kept asking where the black guys were, and I finally put it together. Oh, he thought these guys were them. So not. I had to leave it was so horrible. I'm used to the real deal. Had the real deal living in my house, so I know what real reggae sounds like, and who plays it. I've watched them write the damned music, it's just too bad these guys are so inept at songwriting, or even playing the songs. I don't mean to be judgemental, but these guys really sucked!
