Wednesday TV

Normally, it's Lost that's got me talking at this hour on a Wednesday. And for as awesome as the the time-frak that show continues to be this season, tonight I'm all about the Scrubs finale.

I know they're still back and forth over whether or not the show is getting renewed next season, but for as much as I love the series, I sort of hope that *was* the end. Because if it was, it was *so* perfect. Rarely does a series finale leave on a satisfactory note, much less hit just about everything right.

- Wise choice to forego the on-again-off-again drama that has been J.D.'s and Elliot's ongoing relationship and focus on what works between them. They're together; that's it. No need to make the whole episode about their relationship when so many have already been dedicated to that up until now.

- J.D. and Turk GUY LOVE! Overblown to the point of awkwardness, yes. But completely awesome!

- The Janitor! Glenn! (Or Tony!) The fact that we still don't know for sure is perfect. In fact, every scene with him was so great.

- All the cameos at the end were just right. It was a parade of familiar faces without needing to re-introduce everyone. Loved it!

- Of course the final episode had to be about J.D.'s relationship with Dr. Cox more than anything else. And I thought it was executed perfectly. (Naturally, it made me cry at all the right moments.) Of *course* they would be friends. And of course Cox will miss him. (Heck, even Jordan will.)

- And that final montage - perfect! Sappy and emotional, yes. But just suited to J.D.'s daydreams. And who's to say there can't be a ring of truth in there somewhere? Not only that, but it was set to one of my favorite Peter Gabriel songs:

Peter Gabriel - Book of love

I think may cry again! *sniffle*

Bravo, Scrubs! Thank you for eight wonderful years, and a truly fitting sendoff!
