Galactica - Someone to Watch Over Me

Feb 27, 2009 23:17

Okay, I know things came up in this episode that will probably make for a more exciting conclusion later, but if they *still* didn't make me want to beat my brain against a wall!

My Chief! Gods, my poor, poor Chief! Hasn't he suffered enough? Yes, let's make him happy for the first time since, like, Season 1 and then BAM!!! COMPLETE ANGUISH!!! Not only that, but let's wrack him with guilt over his role in the whole Hera-kidnapping-Athena-beating-replace-Boomer-with-a-random-Eight-decoy debacle.

You know, I'm getting used to being wrong when it comes to guessing what's going to happen on this show, but since her death in Season 1 (and primarily because I always found her to be the more interesting of the Eights), I was always rooting for Boomer to find her way back to Galactica (and to the Chief) and redeem herself somehow. And while that's still not a complete impossibility, my hope is getting thinner.

*frustration*

Furthermore, Helo is back to proving just why he's Pretty But Dumb. Honestly, man? You couldn't tell she wasn't your wife?

On the other hand, the re-introduction of The Song, and Starbuck talking to her father-who-wasn't-there was very intense and rather awesome.

Ahh! Three episodes to go, and after all this pain and suffering, all I seem to be able to do is hope my poor Chief doesn't decide to airlock himself.
