Fandom, your thoughts, please...
To anyone who has been keeping up with tardos_treasure, I could use your input. As you know, nominations for the fanfic awards close this Saturday, January 31. Right now, I'm deliberating as to how much time should be allotted for voting.
Originally, I'd thought to have the final awards posted on Valentine's Day - to go with the "share the love" theme that the community is based on. However, that would leave just under two weeks for people to cast their votes. I wondered if that would be rushing things. Maybe voters would want more time to read any stories that they haven't already seen.
I've been to a number of awards sites where public voting is held (as opposed to winners being chosen by a specific panel of judges), and the allowed time ranges from a few weeks to well over a month.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to what you would prefer or recommend? Or what would be the most realistic?
