I'm still sick, and I need to get some rest before going to work tomorrow if I want to keep my sanity with The Little Darlings, but I had to post just a few first thoughts about Dresden on Sci Fi.
Yeah, the episodes are airing in a different order than they were shot. I'm not sure if that's a bad thing or not since, originally, there was only supposed to be a Dresden TV movie. The network decided to extended it to a series of 11 episodes so far. Perhaps the other episodes were shot around the original movie to fill in the gaps. Last night's was a decent episode - not a spectacular pilot, but good nonetheless.
I love BSG. But lately, every time I watch it, I feel as though there are details that I'm missing. I never quite understood what D'Anna's quest to find the "Final Five" was all about. I must have missed something when it was explained why the Cylons didn't know who they were. (Why wouldn't Cylons know who their own members are?) I also didn't understand why she thought she would find answers in a human temple -- a place that had nothing to do with the Cylons at all.
*shrugs* For as much as I love the show, I tend to get the impression that some of the details go over my head.
Though the way they deactivated the D'Anna model? Oooh! Cold! *VEG*
Hmmmmmmm...I agree that there seems to be details that got left on the cutting room floor. God knows why because those details seem to be quite essential. But I do like that they're bringing back the more mystical aspects of the show. And I can't wait to see who it was D'Anna recognized!
As for how they deactivated her. Wow. I was quite fascinated to learn they seem to be vulnerable until they leave the gel. Amazing! Man, I love this show! :)
