There's more to living than television... meaning? A personalized entry to come at later time. This is nothing greater than an advertisement for a show on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim line-up that has temporarily grabbed my attention from computer-related pursuits (a very rare occurance; I watch very little television to begin with). The story involves a group of city-dwelling people, in someway related to each other, who are tortured by burdens of immense stress. When each of them reach their breaking points, a boy wielding a golden bat appears... Survivors of the attack, left with injuries every appearance, for some reason seem relieved after the attack... but... why?
One eventually asks the question: Is the boy, dubbed "Lil' Slugger" by the media, a tangible being? Or, is he a resolution to the problems these people suffer, born as a phantom from the repressed psyche of the city's inhabitants?
Although I'm not likely to follow through with the following idea, I am giving some thought to buying their DVD... I hold back because buying non-interactive entertainment seems like such a waste of money...
