Greetings, residents of the Thor! As you may not have noticed, the Improbability Drive has been engaged, and things are looking pretty calm so far! So sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride! As always, we'll let you know the name of our next destination when we arrive and find out. ♥
[Did the captain just 'heart' at you? It sure seems that way. Creepy. Either way, the intercom is OFF and the event is begun!]

So, this time around, the drive event is a little different than what you might be used to! It is, in fact, a truth event, but with a bit of a twist! The air is infected with little nanobots that compel you to tell the truth. In fact, they're so driven in their task, that anything that isn't a direct truth (in their eyes) leads to a rather painful electrical shock. Naturally, anyone can choose to have their characters unaffected, but there are also ways around spilling your darkest of secrets. Eluding the question completely is perfectly fine, as you are not telling a lie. It's also possible to believe so incredibly strongly in a false statement, that you feel it to be the truth! As such, you wouldn't get shocked. To those with the know-how, the 'bots are detectable, and can even be hacked (which can certainly lead to more hilarity.) Bear in mind, however, that they cannot be disabled, only mislead!
How far you want to go with this is entirely up to you, and what you want to do with your character. If you've been itching to reveal your character's secret feelings for someone, or wondering how to ICly blurt out something your character might never reveal otherwise, this is your chance! Some characters might be more susceptible to the nanobots' influence than others, in that they might feel compelled to tell the truth rather than say nothing at all (which is a valid defense against the nanobots) or change the subject (another valid defense) or...something else! As always, how far you go with this is left up to you. So kick back, relax, and have fun!
The IID will shut off the evening of the 30th (thus ending the event) and the Thor will arrive at the next planet, which will be expanded on in the next Captain's post!
