I got the job at the children's museum in North Carolina!!! Mike and I are looking at apartments so we can rent for a month while he finds a town house. I feel very adult, and it's a little scary. I'm so happy though. After doing long-distance this semester and knowing there's a whole year of it coming up, being together this summer is so important. I was worried that nothing in NC would come through.

I get paid $10/hr, working 8:30am-5pm Monday through Friday, and get a week vacation from the end of June to July 4th. I have to talk to people at MHC to see if I can still get my summer funding. I hope I can. It would really help since apparently gas is ridiculously expensive now. Mostly I'm just happy that I got a museum-related job in NC.

Other than that, here are the things that have gone on since my last entry (which I didn't read over so I don't actually know when the last time I updated was):

1. My computer died. Well, its LCD screen died. I took it to a repair place here in Athens. It should be ready sometime this week. I miss it dearly.

2. I stayed in a bunker in Rhodes. Seriously. It was both awful and hysterical. The actual town of Rhodes is really cool, though. It is basically a medieval city, still intact. We tried to go to the beach, but the weather was awful. It was still a fun vacation, though.

3. Molly drunkenly tried to feed a guard french fries. Soldiers in camouflage threatened to shoot us.

4. Finals are almost here! I can't believe I'm going to be coming home soon. I'm a little sad, but mostly excited.

5. Luke gave me the nickname of Mitts McGee. How flattering, right? At least it's better than my nickname from last summer...

6. I realized that I hate looking for apartments.

My flight gets in sometime in the afternoon on May 16th, and I fully expect everyone to clear their schedules on the 17th for a lunch/dinner date. Maybe I will make a Facebook event? I'm so excited to see everyone!
