I'm gonna meet Bruce Campbell.

Yes. That's right. I'm going to meed GOD Himself.

Well, I don't know if I'm actually going to meet Him. But, I'm going to be close enough that it's a distinct possibility. On June 21, Bruce Campbell is going to be at the Brookline Booksmith for a reading and a book signing for His new book Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way (6:00pm, tickets $2). And then afterwards at 9:30pm, Coolidge Corner is going to be screening Bruce Campbell's first feature film as writer, director, and star in The Man with the Screaming Brain (tickets $12). I already have my ticket for Screaming Brain (thank Bruce for on-line ticket ordering). Now to see if the book reading tickets can be pre-ordered or bought.

I missed my chance to meet Him in New York at opening weekend for Bubba Ho-Tep by one lousy day when I went down for the Friday showing only to find out that He was going to be talking at the Saturday showing. Then, I missed my chance to meet Him in New Hampshire when He was doing a talk because my car was having issues (it has issues now, but those were a different set of issues). I will not miss my chance this time. Hell or high water, I will be there.

Is it proper etiquette to ask a celebrity to autograph something other than their new book at a book signing? I really want Him to autograph my Book of the Dead edition of The Evil Dead; but I don't wanna be rude or that annoying fan. :/ But then again, it is GOD; I think He'd understand.

Bruce Campbell's new book "Make Love The Bruce Campbell Way", is an "autobiographical novel" that will have readers laughing out loud. The lead character, who happens to be named Bruce Campbell, is preparing for his big break in the new Mike Nichols' film Let's Make Love!, when the production becomes infected by "B movie virus," symptoms of which include excessive use of cheesy special effects, slapstick, and projectile vomiting.

9:30 - Bruce Campbell's THE MAN WITH THE SCREAMING BRAIN
Tickets $12, available at Coolidge box office or online tickets
Bruce Campbell's first feature film as writer, director, and, yes, star, is a story of greed, betrayal and revenge in the former Eastern European block. William Cole (Bruce Campbell), wealthy industrialist, goes looking for a tax shelter in the wrong part of the world and winds up the guinea pig for a mad scientist, having his brain merged with that of Yegor, a former KGD operative. The two couldn't be more different, but they share one thing - both were killed by the same woman. William and Yegor form an unlikely partnership to track down their common nemesis.

(thanks Dave, tweakt, for telling me; and thanks Katie, ad_lib, for reminding me about it)
