Friday, I drove to Manassas with Stephen, so I could finally see him play with
the band. The drive was long and we were both in bad moods because of the traffic, and then I had to wait around for more than two hours for them to go on, and the
venue was a tad on the shady side. Just not my scene, so I had no one to really talk to or anything. But Stephen really rocked it out. I was proud. It was awesome seeing all these metal kids come up to him and tell him how good he is. We drove home after they broke down their equipment - we made it home in record time (three hours) thanks to Stephen's speedy driving and his singing Lady Gaga & Katy Perry songs.
Yesterday was fun, too. I went to Pembroke Mall with my friend Shelley, because the guy who plays Dr. Cullen from Twilight (Peter Facinelli) was signing autographs and posing for photos, and she wanted to interview some people and check out the crazy fans, for the radio show. I was her technical advisor, since she didn't know anything about the books/movies. Holy moly, the place was teeming with screaming girls. We ended up in the VIP area for a bit since a lady representing the Red Cross recognized Shelley (it was also a sort of fundraiser for them, Peter donated blood for them). The man is pretty damn fine up close; he walked right by us. After all that, Stephen and I had some amazing pizza at Cogan's. It was nice and relaxing.
Today was also pretty cool. We played tennis in the morning, went to see District 9 with my mom (WOW, what a great movie. GO SEE IT. It's emotional, action packed, and awesomely awesome), got a Thin Mint Cookie Blizzard, and then played tennis again!
I'll leave you with this:
