Writing

One thing about livejournal is that after 60 entries, you can't display 20 at a time. I was thinking of rereading a few and posting links to some of the funny entries. I started thinking about this when an old buddy of mine e-mailed me and couldn't find the story about Uncle Clyde, the Coon, The Dog, and the Baseball Bat.

It's also hard to tell when someone is joking when they write. Not me, of course, as almost all of my ports, e-mails, blogs, logs, and TOTDs have some attempt at humor, I think. I loveit when I'm asked if I'm being facetious. I LOVE that word!

How many people actually reread their entries after 12-24 months? For me, rereading makes me want to rewrite half of my stories. I only use this journal for satire, comedy or "noncomedy" I guess, but I still miss a lot of typos. It's pretty sad though, I write better than I type. There's nothing like the feel of writing in a real journal. It's funny how much I've come to depend on a computer. Writing several paragraphs can wear my hands out now. And they say cursive writing is becoming a lost art form. I believe it. I have perfected my speed henpeck style.

Is it possible that in 100 or 200 years we might completely forget how to write with pen and paper?

Scary.
