You know, Shar, being aware of conspicuous consumption doesn't mean you have to become so conspicuous that you stop consuming. On the contrary--it's time to embrace your conspicuousness (if that's a word), own it, and release it--and if anyone sasses you about it, then it's time to administer a good old fashioned conspicuous pounding. Now, I don't know that a VV extravaganza is and I only recently gave away the last surviving clothes I wore to high school, but I say wear that badge of honour--conspicuously.

I miss the whole lot of you. I'm heading your way for reading week. Beer?
