So, a post about The Americans - IMO, one of the best TV series ever made. Up there with The Sopranos, The Wire, Breaking Bad - all those shows that are always mentioned when people talk about the third - ie. the current- golden age of American TV (only just found out it's called that

I've never thought much about what will happen to everyone afterwards.
It was my head canon that Paige wasn't ready to quit on being a spy, because she'd always been looking for something bigger to be a part of. Quite how she'll survive, though, I don't know. Maybe Philip & Elizabeth can arrange something at their end. And I suppose the newly independent Russia will still need spies.
Henry, I think, will be OK physically but screwed up mentally.
I thought it was really interesting that Philip suspected Renee; I liked the insight that gave us into his strange world. He knew there must be others like himself, but had no contact with them except when control decided it was necessary. And, having made a friend, and having lost his faith in the cause, his concern was for Stan.
What fascinated me the most was the way the Russians took care of their agents. Martha wasn't even aware of what she was being made to do, and the easiest solution would have been to send someone to kill her, but they extracted her and then tried to give her some sort of life. (I've just watched a documentary about Guy Burgess, and that seems pretty accurate). Yet they killed Nina.
And poor Oleg. I'm going to tell myself that some unexpected situation is going to arise, and it's going to be in the US's interest to send him home.

It is on Prime - all six seasons. :)
There's lots of other good stuff too, including Carnival Ros, Mrs Maisel and The Expanse - and probably other stuff I'm not aware of. It seems pretty limitless.
Re: Paige - I don't know if she did want to carry on as a spy, but it was telling that she went straight to Claudia's flat when she got back to Washington, so you never know.

Oh, for sure - though maybe not as badly screwed up as Paige.
I agree with what you say about Martha. Must admit that when she got on that plane to be flown to Cuba, I expected us to discover somewhere down the line that the KGB had quietly done away with her, especially as that's what they did with the wife of the illegal who was killed in the very first episode of season 1 (though keeping the baby, of course).
Maybe it's different when the person hasn't actually done anything to merit being rescued? I mean, they were ready to fly Gregory to Moscow too.

I would really love to think so.
