I realise I haven't posted in over a month, and that it'd be a bit much to come back, put up a Game of Thrones review and disappear again, so I'll try not to do that last thing. I don't know what's happened to me really. I just have this vast reluctance to post at all, and I don't know why, beyond that feeling like I have nothing

I'm just the same, in fact I don't think I've posted this year. I have no idea why apart from a certain lack of time due to my husband being retired now and the feeling that the things I'm doing now don't really chime with what I used to use LJ for.

And as for Danny killing the Tarlys, that seems to be SOP for kings/queens in medieval times. I don't think there's anyone who might potentially hold the throne in GOT who hasn't killed those they decided needed killing. These folks are definitely bloodthirsty. Even Jon, who would probably be the most just and merciful of any of them, hasn't shied from handing out that kind of 'justice' when he felt it was warranted.

Yes, it was amazing! I loved the dragon ride sequence. As for the reviews, I've done them right from the start so it'd be a shame to give up now. ;)

Oh yes, definitely. But she could have spared Tarly Jnr. Tempering justice (as she saw it, they were rebelling against their rightful queen) with mercy. She's done it before, and it would have been politic, given that she was newly in Westeros and needs to win people over. She misstepped there, I think.
