Utterly there with you in think we haven't yet seen how dark Pierce/Cain really is. There was just something about the vibe during the break-up scene that made me wonder if Cain is about to turn on Lucifer. Which in some ways is a pity as I think Tom Welling is strongest when he does comedy, he makes an excellent foil for Ellis (as someone who's never watched Smallville this is the first time I've seen Welling in action).
I'm also assuming/hoping there's more to be told about the circumstances of Abel's murder. I'm still unclear why Abel wound up in Hell. Or maybe we're just meant to assume they were both destined for hell anyway when the fight broke out, so it was just a case of who got which punishment (i.e. who died first).
And also agree about Tricia Helfer, she was magnificent this episode. I'm so happy they managed to keep her around this season :)
Well, having seen the latest two episodes, obviously I was wrong about the triangle being over with the Lucifer/Pierce break-up. It was a nice idea, I guess. ;)
Even so, I don't think Pierce is going after Chloe to spite Lucifer. Nor is he going after her because he wants her for her. I think we just see more and more why he ended up in the situation he's in.
