Note: A fair amount of you expressed dissatisfaction with our previous ep discussion format. As a result, party posts will no longer contain mod-issued topic threads. The discussion will be completely freestyle. Have fun.
This ep was most definitely a filler ep, what can I say? We all knew it was coming. It's nice for Gaius/Richard to get some screen time, and we were offered a great moment between Arthur and Merlin, but overal it wasn't an important ep. (Hey, at least that's one good thing about there being less eps next series!)
As for next episode, guh. My heart hurt watching the trailer, I have no idea how I'm going to be watching the whole episode! :( BUT I do believe that, despite the whole Arthur-making-out-with-Gwen-while-trying-not-to-think-about-Merlin thing (obviously! lol), I do think we're going to get some great A/M scenes, even if Merlin's going to be old and grey at the time, and so we probably won't be able to use any of it in fan videos *sighs*. But remember Colin's comment from the BFI interviews? He said Merlin performs magic in front of Arthur (Bradley and Colin also said that episode 10 was their favourite this series, but...well.... they can't be right all the time...), so while I'm guessing he's going to be performing said
( ... )
But actually information has revealed that there were some swithes to the original transcript of the play. Seems that B/C mistaken 308 for 310 though. You can go to check Gelach-ros's LJ for some information on that.
(Bradley and Colin also said that episode 10 was their favourite this series, but...well.... they can't be right all the time...)
Like marvelpku said, there were swaps for episodes 8, 9 & 10. Colin and Bradley were going off the original episode number... They were thinking of "The Eye of the Phoenix" as that was originally supposed to be episode 10, but it turned out to be episode 8. Choosing Eye of the Phoenix as a favorite makes more sense because we all know Bradley's not a fan of Arthur/Gwen, so I doubt he'd say that an Arthur/Gwen-heavy episode (which this upcoming episode is slated to be :() would be his favorite.
You're right, that makes a lot more sense! YAY! My faith in Colin and Bradley's taste in episodes has been restored! XD Tbh, they've always seemed to be on the same wavelength as the fans, so it didn't make sense that they would single ep 10 out, over all the rest. So thanks for letting me know! There's something heart-warming about knowing that their favourite eps are our favourite eps as well, especially considering that they're always M/A eps! ^.^ he he Anyway, thanks again....It's a shame they re-arranged the eps though. 'The Eye Of A Phoenix' would have made a much better episode 10 then what looks like, next weeks ep will be....
Hehe, but it is not officially confirmed by B/C themselves. But we conclude based on a lot of facts (you can find these information in Gealach Ros's Lj) we can get.
In Bradley and Colin's interview with Geek Syndicate at the BFI screening, when they said their favorite episode was episode 10, Colin said "What can we talk about [regarding the episode]..." and Bradley said "You can probably say 'Perilous Lands'."
Oh, I meant to say that that seems like a good indication that they did mean 3x08 as we saw it instead of the 3x10 that will be shown, since 3x08 did have the Perilous Lands. (Unless 3x10 also has the Perilous Lands, haha.)
I think you are right. Based on all the information we get, "perilous lands" and "princess bride alike adventure", it definitely should be 308 and no otherwise. I listen to the vedio again. And it is also "out of camelot". All prove it is 308. Don't mention 310. OH, I already try every effort to prepare myself emotionally for that. But I still doubt whether it will be good to skip it.
Dear, I think you should go to youtube and listen to that interview. I think with all the "Perilous land", "Princess Bride adventure" and "Out of Camelot" mentioned by B/C in the interview, and all other information got from Gealach Ros' LJ (http://gealach-ros.livejournal.com/451690.html#cutid1). I think their favorite should definitely be 308. Just listen to the interview and check the LJ. Your heart will be warmed. Don't ever lose faith in Bradley and Colin. They two are the only reasons I begin watching this show and now I still watch this show. If NOT FOR THEM, I will leave as soon as possible.
