No, I don't think he should. While he doesn't tell her, he will always hold the power in the fight between the two of them. It's the case that he knows all about her, but she knows nothing about him - if she did know, he would be dead by the end of the day probably, but as she doesn't, he will always win.
[Although it surprises me that she hasn't already told Uther about Merlin trying to kill her. What better way of getting rid of the thorn in your side? She seems unremarkably unconcerned about everyone else in Camelot, so why is she protecting Merlin in this way?]
And no, there is no other way ultimately - it's her destiny being the one and future enemy of Camelot, being written in the legends and all of that.
She is too stupid to see what a big threat he is? He has thwarted Morgause and her at every turn, yet because of class & hierarchy they still think he isn't capable because he is a "simple servant". Yet a simple peasant was born with the most power of all time.
Yes good question. He has thrawed them before but Morgause is happy to just leave him chained up to die. I mean really. I do think it is partly a class thing as Merlin is a servant they underestimate him. To their cost.
He can't tell anyone about the blackmail becuase I doubt anyone would believe and he would be likely to get thrown in the dungeons at best or at worst Morgana telling Uther Merlin tried to kill her and that would mean execution.
He could tell Arthur the truth abotu Morgana but I am not sure Arthur would believe him. He wouldn't want to anyway. Morgana has never done anything to make Arthur suspect her.
Agreed. Uther honestly believes that Morgana defeated the skeleton army. Uther's reaction to any accusation that Merlin would make would be way less than favorable. Remember in 1.02 when a mere servant accused a knight?
That makes it difficult for Arthur if Merlin tells him. Arthur would have to choose against Uther and Morgana if he believed Merlin.
On the other hand, Morgana can't really accuse Merlin of the poisoning. Too many sticky questions would arise for Morgana to answer and as Arthur was there, he is likely to remember his earlier suspicions.
I agree that at this point it would be a bad idea to accuse Morgana, as well as that at this point Morgana can't really reveal the poisoning without implicating herself.
What would have made a lot of sense, though, would have been Morgana passing Merlin off as the traitor, and getting rid of him that way. The writers would have had a bit of trouble getting out of that hole, though.
SHOULD HE JUST TELL?
DO YOU THINK ARTHUR WOULD BACK HIM UP?
IS THERE REALLY NO OTHER WAY?

And I was surprised she hadn't told Uther already. I am wondering what her motives are there.
