Inventory: recap and conclusions
This week we did a little inventory about how we thought the community was running so far and what we could do to improve things. With the help of the results of the poll (including the comments), chats with members here and there and a bit of trial and error we came to the following conclusions:
* The daily fic post (in which writers can promote their fic in the comments) will be made a weekly fic post which will be posted every Wednesday.
* The weekly rec post (in which anyone can rec anything they like that's relevant to the community) will have a different theme each week that not so much serves as a restriction but as a suggestion/inspiration.
* The weekly party post will remain unchanged.
* We're glad we brought up the fact that any member can start a discussion post and not just the mods because a lot of people were not familiar with that! We'd like to point out that the same goes for promotion of your own fanworks such as vids, art, icon-posts and picspams.
* As much as we're a pretty easy-going bunch, everyone has to be familiar with and stick to the rules.
* If for whatever reason you're not sure if a post is allowed or how to tag a post please ask the mods first at the page-a-mod post. You can also use that post for any other question, suggestion or concern you may have. Seriously, look at the conversations we've been having so far and you'll see we're quite friendly really!
* When there are big changes within the community, for example when series 3 starts and there's a sudden influx of fics and/or other fanworks, then we'll check in again with you to see if we need to adjust anything in this community accordingly.
