YES! YES! YES!
You just made my day. Of course, most of it was filled with inhouse campus group issues and Marx/Rousseau comparison papers, but this is gorgeous?

A question. How long do you think until there becomes an issue with Park getting pregnant? There's no way they grabbed a crate of condoms on their way off of Icarus base.

God, that's the $64,000 question, isn't it?

I don't know, but the way she's going, I don't doubt that it would be soon.

I'm so pleased you liked it! There's about 400 words of the next half, and so far it's pure, unadulterated schmoop. Hopefully it works. :)

nothing wrong with pure, unadulterated shmoop.
A question, are you the crediniaeth who has on occasion popped up on some of the StarTrekReboot pages?

I should be! I haven't written any reboot fic, and very little RPS, but I do code the rpf newsletter.

Does my reputation precede me? ;)

I spent a great deal of the last two evenings avoiding a paper, wandering around the bigbang post, and your name came up. I cannot remember where exactly, though, that I saw your name.

Oh, yes! I did a couple of mixes for the Star Trek Big Bang. I did the mixes for Puzzle Pieces (George/Pike/Winona) and Upheaval (Spock/Uhura). They were so much fun. :)

That definitely explains where I saw your name.

Oh, BTW, the bit about the pants, and barely being able to close them? Brilliant. Just brilliant.

Mystery solved!

Thanks! I'm gonna feel really sorry for Eli when nothing fits and everything just... hangs out. What she probably wouldn't give for a pair of pregnancy jeans with the elastic band. Poor dear.

Is it just me or are there a large number of sheets and pillows that have no business being on Destiny on the beds? I can't have been the only kid to cut a hole in the center of a handkerchief, pull it over the head of a barbie, and belt the waist with a bit of ribbon...
I'd definitely miss pants.

Oh, totally! Especially since Destiny was equipped to handle more than 80 people, I'm sure. I can just picture Eli in a Mumu, waddling around the ship, calling Rush out on his shit.

*cackles with glee*

Which episode did they say that?
And yes, Eli in a muumuu would be hilarious. Of course, Greer with wanting to touch the baby when it kicks would also be interesting--I liked how you integrated him into the story.

In Air, Carter says that they were able to transport all but 80 people from Icarus before the planet exploded. God bless StargateWiki. :)

Thanks! Greer is such an interesting character. He's so closed off, but I'm sure there's a soft side to him, it just needs to be brought out in the right way. Perhaps that way is through a child? *wiggles eyebrow*

His or another's? I've been working on and off on some girl!Eli snippets with Greer, but I haven't been able to quite get it. I do have an characterization of Dr. Rush, though, but no babies. How goes part II of the story?
Indeed, blessed be the wikis.

Both, I would think. I would think it comes from being able to protect something helpless because he was unable to protect himself from his father when he was a kid.

Rush is so difficult, because you don't want to make him a complete unlikable ass, but then you don't want to make him too soft, because then you've lost the characterization completely. The first bit of the second half is schmoop, but I've thrown in just the tiniest bit of a possessive streak over Eli and the baby... we'll have to see how that plays.
