Entry #14

Tracey, your lessons are coming along quite well. You're getting the hang of it. Granted, you do get distracted one too many times. I've half a mind to ban Theodore from coming to watch you practice. Soon we'll see if I've taught you well ( Read more... )

Nothing important nor worth inquiring about, darling.

Be thankful I am so tired at the moment, Millicent. You don't call me darling unless it is something tremendously questionable and I rather not end up with the worst of it all. Or should I say again since I am recalling a particular situation you and Greengrass took part in?

I'm quite certain I don't know what you're talking about. At all. I'm in a loving mood. Is that a crime all of a sudden?

With you in question? Yes.

I've decided to turn a new leaf?

Nice try but just as unlikely as the previous lie.

But, no matter, you have your fun just as long as I don't end up with some hideous Gryffindor fawning over my every move. I know I am quite irresistible but I do have my limits.

I've got a stitch in my side from that last one.

So you wouldn't mind if a good looking Gryffindor started fawning over you?

Merlin, I'm on a roll tonight. I'm going to bust a gut if I don't stop while I'm ahead.

Don't think I don't know where you are going with that little comment, Millicent.

Innocent until proven guilty!

Besides, what good looking Gryffindors are there? And why are they hiding?

Very good questions indeed but I believe once one is sorted into Gryffindor they are destined to live a life of being unreasonably unattractive. Has there ever been a somewhat good-looking Gryffindor ever?

Needless to say, it must be one of the requirements: insane, unbearably dull, emotionally disabled, and extremely unpleasing to the eyes.

George Weasley. You know the answer to that one. You don't need me to confirm it.

My, you must be tired. I haven't seen you say so many nice things about Gryffindors in months.

If Potter just -- fuck never mind

It has been a trying couple of months I must say and I doubt tomorrow will help at all. If they put me in charge of First Year Duty I won't be responsible for my actions.

It's difficult enough knowing I will be forced to risk my health by spending time with that Granger the rest of the year let alone deal with incompetent children.

I doubt you'd ever give up the chance to pass out detentions left and right over a few idiotic children that I can easily handle for you.

I don't think anyone is dimwitted enough to leave you alone with a group of first years.

Perhaps but I must admit, after years of being a prefect, giving out detention after detention has become rather dull. I honestly wish some of them would get at least more creative with their rule-breaking. If you insist on breaking the rules, at least make it worth my while. Sneaking about after hours and snogging in random corridors has grown quite predictable.

I do hope you are right but knowing how this school is run it does raise a couple of questions.

You'd rather they get caught doing something a little more riské? How voyeuristic.

Anything by the Headmaster is to be questioned.
