The present to the 26 year old, 3/5
Kangteuk (Kangin/Eeteuk), various pairings, au, pg-13
Eeteuk doesn’t want to turn 26; he thinks it’s old. And then, on his 26th birthday, he gets a present form his friends.

A/N: Third part! Woo~ Soo...I just have to tell you before you go all ninja assassin on me after reading this: I don't have anything against Yesung. :D

Yesung worked in the same company as Eeteuk. He was the boss’s son. He was somewhat of the company’s clown. Almost everything he did turned out funny in some way, intended or not. Or so the others just laughed at him anyway. Yesung was a small guy with brown hair and dark eyes. Good-looking, the women thought. Annoying, the men thought. That didn’t bother him. He had power over them as the vice boss over the place so he didn’t care what they thought of him. Except for one person. There was one person’s mind and thoughts that he secretly cared about. (Not counting his dad of course.) But the person was painfully unaware of Yesung’s thoughts.Maybe it was for the best, Yesung had thought and had continued keeping it secret. And one day when he was walking in the corridor, he had happened to walk past the men’s room and his very sensitive ear caught up the name of that one person. He stopped and pressed himself to the wall, then moved slowly, slowly towards the door and pressed his ear to the door, very (un)discretely.

“I have this idea,” a voice said and Yesung guessed it was Heechul - the princess of the company. He was a bit scared of him, to be honest.

“What, Heechul?” another voice asked and Yesung gave himself two points for guessing right.

“You know Kangin,” Heechul started and was cut off.

“Kangin, the buff man that I’ve met in the gym?” a third voice asked, Yesung guessed it was Kibum - who else went to the gym, anyway?

“Yeah, Kangin. So remember when he told us he was single?” Heechul continued.

“Uhu huh…”

“Yeah, so…”

“Soo?”

“Oh my god, you don’t get anything at all!” Heechul exclaimed, irritated. “Eeteuk’s also single, dumbasses. Do you get it now?”

“Eh, you mean we pair them up?” yet another voice asked and Yesung was positive it was Sungmin.

“Well duh,” Heechul said. Yesung pressed himself tighter to the door and… was that Shindong coming walking in the end of the corridor? Yesung quickly pressed himself off the door and dashed away and if he had been a cartoon, there would have been a big cloud of dust after him.

So maybe it was for the best that he had kept his feelings towards Eeteuk a secret. Especially if he was going to get paired up with this Kangin guy. Yesung had never met that Kangin, and yet he was so unbelievable jealous. Eeteuk was his. In his mind at least. That’s why when he was walking in the very same corridor a few days after Eeteuk’s 26th birthday, and he heard Eeteuk’s name being mentioned, he immediately pressed himself onto the door to the men’s restroom. His ninja abilities weren’t that good yet so he couldn’t get inside the room without any of the people inside noticing him so he would have to be satisfied with this instead.

“He’s a fucking idiot, that’s what he is.” Heechul said.

“Hey, don’t call Teukie an idiot!” a voice that Yesung recognized as Donghae’s exclaimed.

“But he is! He screwed his best chance to ever get a boyfriend.”

“Heechul, be a little nicer to Eeteuk, he’s totally broken up because of this,” a voice said and it took Yesung some time to realize that it probably was Jaejoong. He had always been really nice towards Eeteuk, maybe because he also was like Eeteuk, nice and caring and pretty feminine but good-looking anyhow.

“I don’t care! He didn’t accept Kangin and now he’s gone and Eeteuk’s fucking crying over it. And yet he was the one he scared Kangin away.” What? Yesung thought, Eeteuk’s not together with that Kangin guy? His eyes widened and a wicked grin was on his lips.Eeteuk’s all down over him and need someone who can make him feel better. Great, finally time for my entre. And he skipped away, happily whistling and swinging his arms. That is, until he walked right into a wall.

It didn’t take long before Eeteuk started noticing how Yesung was paying him more attention. He was not sure if he liked it. And this was different than Kangin’s attention, which had been - Eeteuk had to admit it now - romantic and kind and sweet. Yesung’s attention was more like… Actually Eeteuk didn’t want to think about it. If Eeteuk and Yesung had been the two main characters in a boys love story or book, then Eeteuk would never have read it. It was obvious, he thought, that they didn’t suit each other. But still Yesung kept “accidentally” touching him, he kept “accidentally” leaning a tad too close to Eeteuk when he looked over Eeteuk’s shoulder at what Eeteuk was doing, he kept talking very friendly with him and kept looking at him with these almost predatory looking eyes. In the night when Eeteuk was going to sleep, he kept seeing those eyes and it took him about an hour for him to fall asleep - and then when he finally fell asleep, he had nightmares about Yesung raping him.
Heechul thought that this was absolutely hilarious.

“Hyung, he did what?” Zhou Mi asked and leaned over the table to look at Eeteuk.

“He groped my butt!” Eeteuk wailed. “Then he looked like he hadn’t done anything at all!” Heechul roared with laughter and clutched his stomach. Han Geng looked a bit amused - damn, Heechul’s totally corrupted him.

“Teukie, he couldn’t…No, there’s no…Yesung?” Sungmin asked, perplexed by the whole idea and shook his head in disbelief.

“He did, I’m not lying! I would never lie about something like that.” Eeteuk said and shuddered as he remembered Yesung’s touch. Shindong looked down at his food, made a grimace and said: “And we’re done with the pasta.” and put down his fork and pushed his plate away a bit. “Thanks, hyung,” he said sarcastically to Eeteuk who apologized to him for ruining his appetite.

“Yesung…” Donghae said, a dazed look on his face. “I would never have believed…”

“Yeah, neither did I,” Eeteuk said and put his head into his arms.

“What’s going on?” Yunho asked and sat down next to Kibum.

“We heard Heechul’s laughter all the way to the office room,” Jaejoong said and sat down next to Yunho. Sungmin rolled his eyes as this only made Heechul laugh harder and Han Geng’s lips’ corners twisted upwards.

“Teukie ruined my appetite,” Shindong said.

“He did? Oh, then it must have been something really…shocking or disgusting.”

“The later,” Kyuhyun said and patted Zhou Mi’s arm and pointed to Shindong’s plate with pasta. Zhou Mi looked at him.

“Kui Xian, that’s Shindong’s. You don’t want to eat Shindong’s left over food.” Kyuhyun rolled his eyes.

“No dumbass, that’s not what I meant, give me the plate, I think we can use it against Yesung if he gets too ‘friendly’ with Eeteuk.” Zhou Mi handed him the plate and Kyuhyun handed it to Eeteuk who took with a confused look on his face.

“Okay, so what did Eeteuk do?” Jaejoong asked.

“I didn’t do anything!”

“Well Eeteuk didn’t do anything, Yesung did.”

“…Yesung? Who?”

“The boss’s son. You know, the kinda small guy with brown hair. He’s the one that you always laugh at.” Eunhyuk said, sat down and turned to Zhou Mi. “What’s happening?” Zhou Mi made a gesture that indicated that he would soon find out.

“Ah, so that’s Yesung, I’ve always wondered who he was.” Yunho said and thought for a moment. “What did he do? Run into a wall again? No… That wouldn’t make Shindong lose his appetite.”

“Has Shindong lost his appetite?” Junsu asked with wide eyes.

“Yeah, I know. Shocking.” Sungmin said and shook his head.

“So what did Yesung do?” Jaejoong asked.

“He…He groped Eeteuk’s ass.” Zhou Mi said and scrunched up his nose. Heechul burst into another round of laughter.

“Eeew!” Jaejoong, Yunho, Junsu and Eunhyuk exclaimed.

“That’s just so wrong!” Jaejoong exclaimed and then fell silent in shock.

“Yesung did that?” Yunho’s eyes were as wide as golf balls.

“Eew ew ew ew ew ew ew!” Junsu screamed.

“…” said Eunhyuk and blinked, mouth hanging open.

“Why are you shouting ‘ew’?” Henry asked as he walked into the lunch room. Everybody turned to look at him.

“Don’t-“ Eeteuk started but Heechul was faster.

“Yesung groped Eeteuk’s ass!” He said and his eyes twinkled with laughter.

“Oh…My…God,” Henry said and luckily Ryeowook came in just at that time so he could catch Henry as the younger boy fell backwards and into his boyfriend’s arms.

“Aaah!” Ryeowook exclaimed. “What did you say to him?!”

“Yesung groped Eeteuk’s ass,” Heechul said again and this time he laughed out loud again as Ryeowook turned white and had to walk on wingly legs to the closest chair and sat down, Henry in his lap.

“He…Wha-Wh-w…” He stuttered and Heechul laughed again. Donghae frowned as he saw that Henry was pale and within a blink of an eye, he had Henry in his lap instead, patting the young boy’s head softly. Kibum sighed and Ryeowook looked confused as Henry was no longer in his arms. Then he looked around in the room, lower lip quivering a bit, until he spotted Henry in Donghae’s lap.

“Give him back!” he shouted and pointed at Donghae who just tightened his grip on Henry and glared at Ryeowook.

“No!” he shouted back and pressed a peck to Henry’s hair. Ryeowook gasped in shock and Henry looked a bit confused but didn’t struggle.

“Give. Him. Back. Now.” Ryeowook said in his scariest voice, which unluckily wasn’t so scary at all so Donghae wasn’t particularly scared. But Donghae moved his chair an inch backwards anyway, just to be sure - Ryeowook really should cut his nails. Sungmin, Zhou Mi, Shindong, Yunho, Junsu, Eunhyuk, Heechul and Han Geng all followed this little drama with big interest. Eeteuk sighed and buried his head in his arms once again. Jaejoong was still in shock and Kyuhyun just rolled his eyes and tried to get Jaejoong out from his shock. Kibum was looking quite pissed off but he didn’t say anything.

“Give Henry to me, Donghae.” Ryeowook spoke through gritted teeth. Donghae smirked at him.

“Nope,” he answered and nuzzled his head into Henry’s hair, inhaling his scent. By now, Ryeowook was seeing red and he lounged himself forward, but Shindong and Yunho caught him and held him back.

“Easy now,” Shindong said and pressed down Ryeowook onto his chair again.

“B-But he has my Henry…” Ryeowook said possessively and pouted.

“Donghae,” Eeteuk said, “give back Henry to Ryeowook. I think Kibum will reward you if you do.” Donghae immediately let go of Henry - who walked over to Ryeowook and sat down on the chair next to him and took a hold of his hand and smiled at him - and turned to Kibum with a grin. Kibum rolled his eyes and leaned in to whisper something in his ear. Donghae’s eyes lit up and he nodded eagerly.

“I take from this that we won’t be seeing much of you two after the lunch, will we?” Sungmin asked and Donghae grinned. Kibum patted the older man’s thigh.

“Yesung groped Eeteuk’s ass?!” Jaejoong’s shout was suddenly heard and everybody turned their attention to him. Kyuhyun looked at Zhou Mi and whispered, “I finally got him out off his shock.”

“Oh right, that’s what we were discussing,” Eunhyuk said.

“Yeah, tell us all the details, Teukie,” Heechul said with a smirk. Eeteuk raised an eyebrow.

“Do you really want to know?” he asked.

“Fuck no,” Junsu and Shindong said in chorus. The rest - except from Heechul, Han Geng and Eeteuk - were in different stages of exclaiming how yucky it was and making facial grimaces.

“Thought so,” Eeteuk said silently.

“But wait, doesn’t he know -“ Zhou Mi started, Kyuhyun - having sensed the danger - clamped his hand over Zhou Mi’s mouth, but it was too late and the rest of the sentence slipped out. “- about Kangin and Eeteuk?” It became dead silent in the lunch room, not even Heechul said anything. Eeteuk frowned and Kyuhyun smacked Zhou Mi on the arm.

“…Why would he know anything?” Eeteuk said at last, “There’s nothing going on anymore, anyway.”

“Really, Eeteuk?” Han Geng said doubtfully. Eeteuk nodded. But Han Geng still looked doubtfully.

“I don’t believe it,” he said. “I don’t think Kangin wou-“ Now it was Heechul who quickly put his hand over Han Geng’s mouth and not another word slipped out. Heechul glared at him a few seconds and then took away his hand - Han Geng stayed silent.

“Yesung’s such a dense guy anyway,” Sungmin said, trying to save the situation, “he wouldn’t notice anything anyway. He never does.” They all shuddered as they remembered when Yesung had made a move on Ryeowook even though Ryeowook had already been dating Henry at that time.

“He’s a sick guy,” Shindong said and Zhou Mi nodded. Eeteuk laughed a little - finding it cute how they all tried to make him feel better with talking shit about Yesung. He didn’t mind it particularly though, he wasn’t so found of Yesung.

“What should we do with him?” Eunhyuk asked and propped up his elbows on the table and leaned his head in his hands.

“What can we do?” Jaejoong asked. “We could prosecute him for sexual harassment…Or sue him,” Sungmin said thoughtfully.

“Wait,” Eeteuk said, “it’s not that big deal. He just…You know…And it was the fir-“ He fell silent, obviously in deep thought.

“And it was the what?” Zhou Mi asked. Eeteuk held up a hand to show that he was thinking.

“It was the 8th time he did that,” He then at last said.

“What?!” Henry shrieked and Kyuhyun’s jaw dropped.

“Why did you tell us just now?” Kibum asked. Eeteuk scratched his back head.

“I don’t know,” he sighed, “I didn’t think he was any serious. I thought he just, you know, was joking with me or something.”

“God, Teukie,” Junsu said, “Haven’t you yet learnt your lesson about believing things are jokes?” Eeteuk glared at him.

“Don’t drag Kangin into all this,” he snapped.

“But really Teukie,” Donghae said, “If you would be dating Kangin now, then maybe Yesung wouldn’t have touched you.” Eeteuk’s head hung low.

“I know.”

“I’m going to prosecute him,” Kyuhyun said determinedly.

“What? No!”

“Why not, Teukie, why not?”

“I don’t know…He’s our boss - in a way - maybe?”

“And that’s just why you should prosecute him, Eeteuk.”

“I agree!”Shindong said.

“Me too!” Henry piped.

“Me three!” Yunho agreed.

“Me four!” Sungmin said.

“Me fi-“

"Okay fine! I get it… I’ll think about it, okay?” Kyuhyun smiled and patted Eeteuk’s hand.

“Good Eeteuk, we’ll count on you. Because you do know that nobody else than you can prosecute him, right?” He fell silent and his gaze became glazed. “Or maybe there’s someone who could help you…” He mumbled, only low enough for Zhou Mi to hear.

“Hey guys, what are you talking about?” A bright voice said and everybody turned to look at the intruder. And then they all scrambled up from their chairs and dashed past the person without greeting him. Yesung looked after them as they rushed away and into the office room and frowned. What had he done? Did he smell that bad? Just because he had eaten a cheese on the lunch break? He sniffed at his arm. Nope, didn’t seem to be that. He frowned once again and shook his head. He had always thought they were a bit weird.

One good thing about this whole Yesung thing, was that it kept Eeteuk’s thoughts away from Kangin. He hadn’t heard from Kangin since he stormed out from Eeteuk’s apartment a week ago, not that he had thought Kangin would contact him. But, you could always hope, right? When Eeteuk had accepted that maybe had Kangin made him fall in love with him in just one day, he started thinking how he could try to get Kangin back to him again. The first thing he had done, in his thinking of how he could get Kangin back to him, had been to get his phone number.

“Jaejoong! Jaejoong!” screamed Eeteuk and ran after Jaejoong. People all turned around to look at him as he ran through the crowd of people. He didn’t care. “Jaejoong!” The said man turned around and when he saw Eeteuk he smiled and stopped walking.

“Hi, Teukie.” He greeted as the older man came up to him and bent over, hands clutching his knees, breathing heavily.

“H-hi,” he said and panted a bit more. Then: “Jaejoong, do you have Kangin’s phone number?” Jaejoong stared at Eeteuk in silence for a bit, mouth threatening to fall open.

“Eh, well, I don’t have it but-“

“Who has it then?”

“I-I think Kyuhyun might have it, or Heechul.”

“Thanks Jae,” Eeteuk said and turned around on his heels, and started running again, this time heading for Kyuhyun’s apartment. Jaejoong looked after him and sighed.

“Kyuhyun! Kyuhyun, open up, it’s me!” shouted Eeteuk into the slot where the post comes in through. He heard some moving noises on the other side of the door and then it swung open, he had to jump aside to not get hit by it.

“Eeteuk, what are you doing here?” Zhou Mi asked and held up the door for him.

“Is Kyuhyun home?” Eeteuk asked and stepped inside and took of his shoes.

“Yes, he’s in the bedroom but-“ Eeteuk dashed right into the bedroom, and two loud shrieks was heard. Then Eeteuk came out again, blushing.

“Okay, so…I didn’t want to see that,” He said and shook his head then he noticed how Zhou Mi was dressed. A loose shirt with all the buttons undone and a pair of boxer shorts only. “Why didn’t you warn me?”

“I tried,” Zhou Mi said with a shrug. Then Kyuhyun came out from the bedroom, almost dressed just like Zhou Mi but his boxer’s were red instead of blue. He was also blushing and his hair was messy in a way that it couldn’t become from sleeping.

“…” Eeteuk said and looked from Zhou Mi to Kyuhyun; they both sported the same hair also. He almost wanted to exclaim ‘how cute you two are~’ but he didn’t, because he thought it was highly inappropriate to say that when they clearly just had had sex. “Well so…Aren’t it a bit too early for that? It’s only three o’clock you know.”

“Try to say that to Zhou Mi,” Kyuhyun said and Zhou Mi smiled angelically.

“…” Eeteuk hesitated. “I didn’t think you would top,” he then finally said, turned to the Chinese man. Zhou Mi looked very offended and Kyuhyun snorted.

“Hah, I told you so~ They all think I’m the manliest of us.” He sing-songed.

“Oh yeah? Want to test if that’s really true?” Zhou Mi said and smirked as he took a hold of Kyuhyun’s hand and pulled him into his arms.

“Maybe later,” Kyuhyun said and nodded his head in Eeteuk’s direction. “I think he’s going to have a stroke or something if we do it right here and now.”

“Oh, didn’t think of that… What a pity.” Zhou Mi said, pouting slightly but let go of Kyuhyun anyway. Kyuhyun grinned and turned towards Eeteuk.

“So, what did you want?”

“…D-do you have K-Kangin’s number?” He asked, voice almost a whisper.

“Oh, well yes, but-“

“Could you give it to me?” Eeteuk asked and bit lightly at his bottom lip. Kyuhyun knotted his eyebrows and Zhou Mi looked surprised.

“Uh, sure, but why?”

“I… I want to try…”

“Oh, okay. Okay,” Kyuhyun said and his forehead smoothed out again. “Okay, I just hope you won’t blow it this time.” He smiled a little and reached for a piece of paper and a pencil on the couch table. He scratched down some numbers and then handed the paper to Eeteuk with a small smile.

“Thank you, thank you so much. Do you think he could forgive me?”

“If you ask really, really nicely.”

“Hey Eeteuk,” Zhou Mi started and Eeteuk looked up at him. “If he’s still angry at you, then try to just win him over bit by bit, okay? If not, you might risk losing him forever. And he’s a really nice guy, so you wouldn’t want that.” Eeteuk thought of how Kangin had been so nice towards him and he nodded.

“I won’t blow it this time.” He promised and then walked out from the apartment.

It wasn’t to ‘blow it’, if you never called, was it? Several times he had sat with the phone in his hand and the piece of paper with Kangin’s phone number in front of him. And several times he had dialed the numbers, but hung up before somebody could answer. So okay, maybe that was to blow a chance, but not to blow the whole thing, right? Eeteuk hoped so. Another thing he had done was to pray for Kangin to come. That idea, however, he had quite quickly dumped as he - after sitting still for an hour and pray - couldn’t feel his legs anymore and his head hurt from concentrating so much on one thing. Clearly it didn’t work. So he gave up. Somehow. For the time at least. Okay, so he would probably continue praying and continue trying to get enough courage to call Kangin. So even though he had decided to let this whole Kangin thing rest for a while (not too long though, what if Kangin would find another man to be his boyfriend? Oh God, Eeteuk had so not thought of that. What if Kangin would find someone else to be his boyfriend?) he did not want to get attention from anybody else, at least not from Yesung, because he was still going to try to contact Kangin.

And if Eeteuk would give up on Kangin totally, then Yesung would be the person he wanted as a boyfriend when the earth was going under. (And really, if the world was going under, then what’s the point with a boyfriend anyway?) That man just… Yesung scared him. Eeteuk had by now thought about the prosecution idea quite a lot, since Yesung just kept touching him and then pretending like nothing. Of course, Yesung was the boss’s son, so it would get quite difficult in the company for him. But Eeteuk thought that he’d rather quit the whole job - which he loved - than getting raped by a man who’s shorter than him. His apartment seemed smaller than ever, or was it just that he wished that the walls would fall over him? He decided to make a cup of tea and then watch some television. It was relaxing, if anything.

The water soon was boiling in the pot and he made his tea - strong and with one piece of sugar in. Just when he had the cup of tea on the stool to his couch’s right - which he used as a table - the doorbell rang. Frowning, he smoothed his clothes and shouted “I’m coming” at the door. Then he walked to the door and opened it. “Kangin!” He exclaimed, shocked. “Eh, hi,” Kangin said and bowed slightly.

“Kyuhyun told me you wanted to prosecute someone?”

“W-what?”

“Kyuhyun said you wanted to prosecute someone at your work for sexual harassment?”

Wait, Eeteuk thought, Why is Kangin standing on my doorstep? It couldn’t be that my prayers worked, right? And why is he asking if I want to prosecute someone? And then it hit him. “Are…You...”

“It’s my job to help people get other people prosecuted,” said Kangin. “You wanted to prosecute someone?” Eeteuk blinked. He wasn’t sure whether to thank god that Kangin was standing here or to thank Kyuhyun. He guessed he should thank Kyuhyun, because since when had god ever helped him? Certainly not when he prayed for Kangin to come to him and he didn’t think this was god’s work.

“Eh, yes,” he said, “come on in, please.” Kangin bowed slightly and stepped inside. Kangin looked even more gorgeous in suit, Eeteuk briefly thought and closed the door behind him.
