Meme-Meme-Me-Me-Me!

More of those questions, this time from magisterequitum, who really does know how to ride, the lucky thing.

I'm going to leave off the rules because I think this meme is slowly fading into the sunset and I'm all for moving on, but I promised I'd answer this and I finally have a spare moment to breathe before delving into the fine structure constant (Thank god I finally learned fine structure of what!).

To spare the flist, answers

1) What is your dream vacation?

Ohmigosh. In order, from "highly improbable but still within the realm of possibility" to "well, you asked," here they are.

Space Camp for adults in Huntsville, AL.

A ride on a vomit comet.

A seat on a Virgin Galactic ship (doesn't even have to be the inaugural flight).

A trip to the International Space Station.

"And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes,
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon." (With apologies to my LaunchPad compatriots.)

"To infinity, and beyond!"

You get the idea.

2) What other languages do you speak?

I can count to ten in about seven different languages, but I'm not even conversant in anything but American English. Sad, huh. French in high school. Never used it, now it's gone. Spanish in college, never used it, now it's gone. Mandarin for various trips, yada, yada, yada.

3) What foreign countries, if any, have you visited?

Um. Mainland China (three times; love the place), Hong Kong while it was still a British Protectorate, Mexico (Cabo), Peru, Ecuador, Canada. Idaho, which, though I was born there, sometimes feels like a foreign country.

4) If you could have another name, other than your own, what would it be?

Whoa. Never thought about it. Lori is totally boring, but I've never given much consideration to what I would change it to. dreambrother has a good first name, as does frabjouslinz. I think there was talk when my sister and I were born of naming us after Dad's mom and his stepmom, which would have inflicted "Alberta" on my sister, but I would have been "Elaine." I could live with Elaine.

5) What is your dream job?

Student.

In other news, I have an actual Russian professor this semester who has the best accent. He sounds like at any second he's going to tell Mr. Bond to prepare to die. He even works with lasers!

And Xin Nian Yu Kuai!
