So with a baby girl nearly here (due in late March), I've been kind of equipping myself with the necessary tools to properly document this momentous occasion. Video cameras-a must. But they have been dual purpose I guess. Who needs a GoPro action camera for a birth?! I DO!!! Anyways, my point is that I've been trying to also get back into video making, editing. Right before I graduated VCU I had just scratched the surface of enjoying the process of video editing, shooting... It made me rearrange how I saw things, how I would "reshoot" reality as if I were walking around a sitcom. I think about how I would make certain moments in my life would fit into a piece of music and make a music video out of it...
I forgot how time consuming shooting video is though.. shooting multiple "takes" in order to cover my ass so I won't have to reshoot. lighting, audio... just general Director of Photography stuff... what a pain! I can only imagine what directors have to go through..
but I'll keep it simple.. this is my baby girl... I won't be shooting the actual birth people! I think I was a bit disappointed that I didn't photograph and video tape my dog Obi more when he was a cute little puppy.. now he's a fat doorstop...
