Banks dont even try anymore..
I've had my Bank of America MasterCard for years (it has a high enough credit limit to put a decent car on it). I had a transfer balance on it because it was 0% APR on transfers. They told me I can call and negotiate a better rate thereafter (default is a staggering 19%). So I call today and they can't do anything for me..they wouldn't budge on the default rate. So I just tell them that I've been a card member for years and that their unflexibility forces me to cancel my card...nothing. No transfering me over to an "account cancelling negotiator" as usual. They just said ok, bye. I was very willing to let my account go, but I'm just pissed that they didn't even try!.. Time to personally visit Bank of America and chew someone a new asshole.
..yes, I'm bitter.. but I have 2 other credit cards and my credit score is well into the high 700s, so fuck them.
