What happens, will happen

A random survey I found on the Berkeley website.

How important is forming romantic relationships, perhaps finding a long-term partner, while in college?

Little or no importance: 30%
Some importance: 41.1%
Very important: 19.9%
Essential: 9%

Hm. Interesting how a large percentage (30%) consider it of "little or no importance". I wonder what other college results would be like. Imagine now, if there was a college in which "41.4%" considered it "Essential". Now THAT would be interesting. Mm.

Anyway, I met up and had coffee with my brother's ex-girlfriend today. It was a 2 hour gabfest, sitting on the hella comfortable leather couches in the Alexandra House Starbucks and talking away nonstop about the many things under the sun. She is one of the most clever, sharp and astute people I know. Not to mention incredibly devoted, sensitive and caring. I wonder what she sees in an oaf like my brother. I guess love truly is blind
But anyway, that's beside the issue.
It was so strange to have a discussion about relationships - specifically hers and my brother's. But not even just boy/girlfriend relationships, friendships and all too. She told me true friendships last forever, and don't die away even if something like college comes into the picture. She told me, you really never know what's going to happen..because anything can..so don't make yourself upset over nothing.
And of course, it was determined (whole-heartedly), that guys don't realize so many billions of things until it's too late and are just dense like that.
It was an amazing afternoon.
One of the deepest conversations I've had in too long a time
