Breaking up with my TV shows
Dear Grey’s and Gossip,
This is me breaking up with you. Trust me, it’s you not me. I will continue to read the amazing fanfiction on ff.com and lj, seeing as the plots and dialog are quite superior to the writing that is done on your respective shows.
Monday and Thursday nights used to be time to watch my favorite nights. I would run up to my apartment at college, and watch these two shows.
For Gossip Girl, I would laugh at the fluffiness of Serena, how she would so often get into trouble only to be rescued by the Non Judging Breakfast Club. Now, she is a train wreck, going from guy to guy, showing no redeeming qualities. She is quite annoying. I realize that you have Daddy issues but honestly have some self respect.
I tolerated Nate, Vanessa and Dan. Jenny, I have despised from the first episode. I really do not care about her. The thing that is annoying me the most is her lack of loyalty. In particular, her issues with Eric. I’m on team E, and I want that annoying girl sent to Connecticut for boarding school indefinitely.
Finally, Chuck and Blair. Blair and Chuck. The best thing about this show. For the last two seasons we’ve seen them at their best and at their worst. They are what made Gossip Girl such a big deal. But now, although I am ecstatic that they are happily together, I want them to DO SOMETHING. Have a hot scene, take down an Empire, be the characters we love. Blair, you are not a wimp, so stop whining every second. Chuck, I love that you are now the most mature person on this show, but he's still Chuck Bass.
Then there is the issue of Grey's. Beware there are spoilers.
I want Izzie to be hit by a bus. There, I said it. I hate Izzie Stevens. She is selfish, stupid, and has no redeeming characteristics at the moment. The way she blamed everyone for her being fired was not cool. Despite what Alex did, Izzie had no right whatsoever of speaking to him like that. Her job was the only thing she had? What was Alex then? A bedwarmer? To quote Mark Sloan, pathetic. I want her gone.
Then there is the whole Mark and Lexie thing. I have invested so much in this couple. They are my OTP, they are my reason’s for watching Grey’s. While there are intense rumors going around, many people on lj are advocating hope, claiming that they will end up together. But with the whole “bio kid,” and bringing back Addison, no, I'm done.
I'm going to watch Glee, Supernatural and Criminal Minds now.
