Finishing school

Nine months ago, I started the Dental Assisting program at Everest College. It's known as one of the more "Ghetto" colleges, but I had an excellent instructor who knows her stuff and is a wonderful person. The nine months went by so fast, now that I look back. A lot of things happened in that time as well. Someone tried to kill me, I moved, got dumped, lost my car, met some people, lost contact with people, etc etc. I can't believe it's all done now and I'll be starting my internship, then my career. I finally have a career. I'm so excited about it and my family and friends are very proud of me! I'm proud of myself too as a matter of fact. I always had a 4.0, never got below a B on any of my tests. That makes me so proud of myself because during high school I would have LOVED to get these grades. I guess once you find your niche in life, you can really do well. I hope my clinical and school skills carry over to the real world and help me find a great paying career and everything else will sort of fall into place. That's what I'm hoping for. We'll see, however, as things for me (and many others) rarely work out the way we want...whether that be for the better or worse. We shall see.
