Confessions of my inner bewilderment . . .

I think I'm the only "adult" who still likes to play fort. You know, where you build forts out of bed sheets and pillows, or out of legos, and then have long dramatic battles where everybody on both sides always gets wounded five times and then dies. . . I also like to watch Disney cartoons. . . .That's for charlie and Sarah.

I also think people in general are too stressed out and should leave the dirty dishes in the sink once a week to counteract their tightening spiral of stress.

I also wonder why I was born now and not a hundred years ago, and why I never feel like I fit in this era even though I grew up in it like everybody else. Does anyone else feel like the world is passing them up and getting all high tech and matrixy and fast and they're still just trying to figure out how to get their sliding glass door to stop getting jammed? I feel left behind. Like there must be something I'm missing that everybody else gets. Like, how do other people know what's cool and what's not? Why don't I know that? How do other people know every song that comes on the radio and who sang it, and three facts about them? I listen to a lot of music, and still know nothing about it. . .

I AM COMING HOME AROUND NOVEMBER THIRD! Get the party ready 'cause I can't wait to see ya'll. Top priorities include hiking up salmon creek and seeing as much good 'ol California scenery as possible. Also, I need to get a job and buy a motorcycle so I can ride it to the grand canyon this summer. . . Yeah, those are my plans so far. . . I love you guys-Amy
