The tunnels under West are just tunnels for water and crap. (I crawled through a crapload and got burnt on the water pipes) The ones by Oakdale were a bit bigger for moving stuff between buildings, but they weren't for "torture". Dopeheads and scumbags used to chill out in them, but thats about it. This was all after the place was closed down for a few years. I've been in the ones under Oakdale quite a bit. I heard they filled them when they tore down the buildings. The big building was sweet. Completely destroyed inside by everyone my age, though.
Michele's mom used to work there. Aside from that, a few parents in the neighborhood used to work there up until I was in junior high. The only cool thing out in that area is the cemetary. The cemetary used to be in the woods pretty far, but now that they built that road through there, its probably easier to find. We had to park behind Meijers and walk back there. The rumor is probably that you're not allowed to be back there... thats just a rumor.
I have a bunch of photos of the Oakdale buildings and tunnels plus the cemetary someplace.
The coolest place around was the abandoned summer camp behind Seaton. Now its a new subdivision. Spent way too much time causing trouble out there.

I know they would snip them in the past. That is quite a big difference than torture.
