(no subject)
It never seizes to amaze me how everytime I go back to Dallas--how different it seems. I say "seems" because its some sort of thing that you dont even realize when you're there..and if you do, you get used to it. Its a whole "I dont do anything unless it beneits myself." Its nuts. People become to Dallas-ized. I wish I could just blame that on moving away..and people growing older..and whatever...but its sad. its not. I come into town for a bit last weekend and it was like night and day. People back 'home' and I talk all the time (a few people in particular). And when I actually get to come into town, granted it was last minute, but come on. One of my 'friends' just absolutely ignored me anyway. If I called them or whatever when I was in Houston theyd answer but when Im in FN town you cant answer? Real cool dude, see if I care to call you any time soon. And another told me that we're "so going out for drinks." When I call to ask if where she wants to go, she told me she no longer can go because she is going out with her soon to be ex husband who freakin beats her...ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I have this thing..call me crazy. You call me up and say "HEY IM IN TOWN" or "HEY IM COMING TO TOWN" or even "HEY JUST DRIVING THROUGH"..unless I have to work, my ass will probably drop whatever I can do to see you. Because Id hope you'd do that for me. But apparently to some people that I figured would do that..didnt. Kind of disappointing. I did get to see Meredith. That was cool.
This proves my point that I think everyone should move away from home. Even if its only a year..something. People act different and things are so different when you change your scenery. It makes me wonder where Ill be in 5 years. If Ill still be living here or somewhere else. I hate the whole event of moving, but I really love seeing different places. Too bad Kyle is licensed in Texas. Id love to move to Cali for a year or so.
Everyone..just remember to be true. Be true to yourself, and be true to the people around you. If you don't like something, dont pretend like you do. And if you love something, let it be known. Life is to short to put on a charade. Or as my mom says "Life is too long to be something you're not."
