Exhibit B: The Heart Of Time

Jul 15, 2013 13:26

People (including myself) take time for granted. We're always looking to the next big thing.

We are kids and can't wait go be a teenager.

When we're teenagers we can't wait to drive. Then we can't wait to move out and be grown ups with cars and jobs and our own money and NO RULES! (what a disappointment that is)

Then we worry about college. Should we go or not? Will we get good grades? Will we graduate?

Then we're worried about money and raises and keeping our jobs and if we're happy with our jobs.

And then we get married and can't wait to have babies. Once we have babies we can't wait for the first steps and the first words and the first day of school. We worry about them driving and dating and getting their hearts broken. We dread the day that we have to let them out into the world.

And once our kids leave home, we look forward to them getting married and giving us grand babies.

Then we look forward to retirement.

And then we worry about getting old and dying.

We don't really stop and enjoy life. What about the moments in between all of those other things?

Kisses? Walks in the sunshine? Swimming in the ocean for the first time? Vacations? Dinner with friends? Pillow talk with our loved one?

Small things that we do every single day without ever thinking about them.

What will you do today that you would generally overlook in the big picture? Take just a moment to enjoy the good things about today.

Time goes by too fast to not enjoy every single second.
