Most little girls put themselves into fairy tales and hope that one day they'll find their prince. I put myself into music. I still do. When I couldn't speak, music could do it for me. When I was nine or so I discovered this song on a record that my parents had and I fell in love with the story it told and with Running Bear and Little White Dove.

I know that song and loved it too and am probably just about your same age (I am 41).
I have to go listen to it now! And Tom Jones?! bahahahaaaa. I hadn't thought about this song in so long and certainly never knew or put it together that it was Tom Jones.
What a GREAT take on the "Indian" topic. I kept looking at that one and shaking my head. Thanks for making me realize that you don't have to be a studied scholar on Indians to write a response to a topic about them.

Apparently multiple people did the song and the one I grew up with was a deeper voiced than the one I can find on YouTube. I had no idea the song was so popular!
None of the prompts really spoke to me this week but when I thought Indians I thought this song. I'm glad you enjoyed my take on the topic!
