Exhibit B: Introducing roina_arwen
I don't know roina_arwen very well. Just based on her public entries because we somehow aren't friends here on LJ. How did that happen?
Obviously I could tell you the basics from her profile page but I want to tell you what I have seen and gathered myself.
First (and best!) of all for me is that she's a reader. Just like me! In fact, she may read as much or more than I do. And that is a lot of books. How can you not like a reader? I never trust someone who doesn;t read. How do you even have a conversation with someone who never picks up a book? We don't seem to have the same taste in books, but I don't care. She reads!
And to make this even better, she's a bowler. I grew up playing on leagues so I get the bowling fever thing. Only someone who is patient and has great focus can bowl. And do it well anyway. Bowling takes brains. You have to understand angles and curves. And the weird math. That's a biggie right there. I'm a bowler and I still get confused on scoring. Thank goodness that machines do that for you these days. Bu
But really, reading AND bowling?!?!? C'mon!
Of course though, most important for now is that she writes. And holy cow does she write! I have to say though what I admire the most is her poetry. I can't rhyme to save my self and if I ever do it's totally by mistake and I don't plan it. It's accidental. The things that this lady can say with just a few lines amazes me. I will never understand how people do that. But it amazes me. Her non-poetry entries are deeply thought and touching. She is always a joy to read even when what she writes tends toward the dark side.
And let's not forget the basics. Pretty lady, in her 40's, lives in Kentucky, loves her cats and chocolate. She has hobbies and favorite things to do just like the rest of us.
But for me, she's one to watch this season. As she should be for you.
