Why do I love Jaysin?? 'Cause he calls with tickets to the Broadway tour of Rent.
Not just tickets. No, that's not good enough.
2nd freakin' row tickets. OMG!!!!
So, last night I saw Rent. And it was fabulous beyond belief. Kick-ass production, amazing voices. The cast was "on" - every single one of them. And they put the sex scene back in that they had pulled back when they did it at the Blumenthal. Double curtain call at the close. Packed house at Ovens.
Waiting for Jaysin, participated in one of my favorite activities - people watching. Can someone explain the fashion-reasoning behing above-knee-length gauchos with just below knee length high-heeled boots? And when did the leggings under a floaty-skirt thing come back in. We did that in the 80's - is it really time for it to cycle back? And who shows up for a musical done by the Broadway touring company in jeans and a t-shirt. What happened to having a dress code for the theatre? Half the attendees wouldn't have been allowed in if there had been a dress code.
Must have the soundtrack/Broadway cast recording. Simply must!!
