Good and bad news
I got accepted to grad school yesterday!!!!!!!!!!! I did a happy dance. ::sigh of relief::
So now I sat down today and went over the courses and picked out a couple. And then I looked at my schedule. Now I'm scared.
Mondays: Work 7-3, School 4:30-7:30
Tuesdays: Same as above
Wednesdays: Work 8-5, Little sister time 6-8
Thursdays: Work 8-5, bowl 6:30-9:30
Fridays: Work 8-5, little sister time 6-7
Saturdays: Work job 1 8-12, off for a bit then job 2 from 5-11
Sundays: Laundry, homework, cleaning, and everything else I'll need to catch up on....
I'm frightened!
On a horribly sad note:
When I lived in Tennessee I taught in a very low income school and the kids all had problems. There was this one little girl that i tutored in reading. Her name was Treasure. And she truly is a treasure. She has the worst life. She's 7 and in charge of 5 other kids. Mom had drug/alcohol problems. She'd forget them at school, pick them up drunk and high.... but Treasure smiled through it all. She's a really great kid.
I heard today that the kids went home the other day on the bus and found their mom dead of an overdose.
Please pray for these kids. They need it.
