khakies, old nursing top, sunburned legs
Haven't updated here in a while, though I've been trying to post to the big blog at least twice a week. Just got back from a trip to the oil change place down the street - I figured going in the pouring rain would mean no wait, and I was right, even if I am a bit soggy now.
Swam last night - mmmm, I love that pool! Still needs a little tweaking of the chlorine to be all sparkly, pretty blue, but I got the granulated chlorine that usually does the job today. While we were in Weg's I saw that the craft store had all their unfinished wood stuff on sale, so I went and bought another sign and letters to do both front and back. We had this plan to hang the farm sign we use for market up adnnjust take it down every Saturday but I don't see that happening.
Nursing one heck of a sunburn from yesterday - went to the beach with my mom. Why oh why does she love it so? My two aunts and her scrimp and save every year to go - it's ridiculously expensive, and that's cool, but yuck, not my cup of tea. They don't even go in the pool or ocean...just SIT there. I put on sunscreen but it was that spray kind and the wind was horrendous, so I guess that's how I wound up missing so many parts of my legs. I'm not hobbling so much today, but still - what's so fun about it? She takes Gi every Saturday while we're at the farmer's market, and that's cool - she plays in the sand, goes in the baby pool, but I don't think I'll be joining them again for a while.
Curry tonight, with purple potaotes and cabbage from the garden. Tomorrow eve. I'm hoping to get our there, replace the cut cabbages with hills of pumpkins for Halloween, and plant some more scallop squash where we mowed down mesclun. My sucession planting could def. use some work, but it's better then last year when we didn't do any at all. Tonight I'm going to finish the last market bag in progress (I'm not going to make any more till I sell some) and write down a big garden map so we have it for our records - E would like to apply for orgniac certiifiction next year, though I think we may have at least another year before we need to do that.
