Happy New Year! How have you been? I have not graced your pages in many months and have no idea what you have been up to. Did you have a good Christmas? I had a very nice one, even though I will not have been able to go visit my friends and family in NC until this coming Tuesday.
Thursday was also my last day of work at my old job, and I start the new one on the 11th, so I may take an extended stay in NC and go visit Michael and whoever else happens to still be around Greenville. I miss him so much! I'd like to see Chris and his new baby, too, but I doubt it will actually happen. I WILL make time to see Natalie, though. That's just a given. I am excited to see the wedding dress she picked out and what my bridesmaid dress is going to look like. :)
I got a Kindle for Christmas, which I am excited about using, but can't bring myself to buy anything on until I finish reading the books I got for my birthday. Pride & Prejudice & Zombies is finished (loved it!), and I have moved on to Sense & Sensibility & Seamonsters. I hope it is just as good, lol. After that I have the first 3 books of the Vampire Academy trilogy, which should be fairly quick reads, and then I can FINALLY use the Kindle! *whew*
I also got a copy of the 9 Dead Gay Guys DVD for Christmas!!!!!!!! I was super excited about this. It was definitely a surprise, and I kind of lost my shit when I opened it. I think I win the contest for best reaction from receiving a Christmas present ever. Only Christi and Michael will really appreciate the awesomeness level of this gift, besides myself. I cant wait to watch it with Anne (my sister-in-law). I've been telling her about it since I moved to Jersey. She's the one that got it for me. I don't know why I never thought to look for it on Amazon before, lol.
New Year's was spent with Chris' friend Rob's family. We all had yummy shots and played Pokeno. It was a new game to me but I think I won, or at least came in second. No one was going to take the time to count all the dimes to see who actually took first place, lol.
It has been a pleasure catching up with you, LJ! I am going to get back on Facebook now and feed my fish. Here's a pic of Christopher to tide you over til we talk again.
Love,
Shannon
