Work

So I started a new job last Thursday. It is not the court job I was hoping for, and I had to start work two weeks earlier than planned. So, of course, I got absolutely nothing done that I had on my To Do While Jobless list. Knowing me, I probably wouldn't even have started that list til Oct 25th. It is hard to get motivated when I don't have anyone else around trying to show me up. Why is competition my only motivation these days???

The temp agency placed me, so I am not making what I will when hired on permanently- but it is still $3 more an hour than my old job and the court job even with temp status. I couldn't say no.

It is a mix of 3 different positions from my old job. Executive Assistant, Marketing Manager and Marketing Assistant. (I split up those last two because I am doing a little of what my boss did at Concord, and a little of what I did as Assistant.)

Its 3 companies all in one building, run by the same family. I work for the oldest son (Kyle) who has a Success Coach, whose name I cannot remember at the moment. (That fact stood out to me.) They are all pilots and share their fathers jet. They appear to be very nice people and are completely capable of successfully co-existing with those in lower tax brackets than themselves- without treating them like ignorants because they have less money. This is a VERY nice change from my previous situation.

The best part of all? Casual Friday!

This is all from my observations on Thurs and Fri. I'll let you know how much I do or do not love it come Monday when I am on my own, as Fri was the old Exec Asst's last day.
