No clever subjects today.
I don't think I've updated this thing since I started at XRT. I've been working there for two weeks and I love it. Everyone who works there is super cool, I get to go to shows for free (including over 21 events that I wouldn't be able to get in otherwise), and I genuinely like all of the work I do there. On my first day, I called a list of people to let them know they had won tickets to go see Blondie and the new Cars at the Ravinia. Before I started calling, I mentioned to one of the girls there that I loved Blondie and really wanted to go to the show. She told me I'd probably go since they give their staff members free tickets all of the time. It's pretty sweet to say the least.
At 5am tomorrow, I'm going to be at some bar in Wrigleyville helping them out with Cubs' opening day. I don't mind being there that early, except for the fact that I won't get a chance to rest all day and I can't seem to sleep now. My alarm is going to go off in about two hours and I'm afraid I won't be very ready for the long day ahead of me. The bright side is, Dan will be here a few moments after my alarm sounds. We're going to Denny's. For "breakfast". How cool is that?
Later on tonight, he's coming with me to see the Eagles of Death Metal and some band called the Strokes. It will be fun.
