Kelly had 2 free tickets, so I went with her to see Prince Caspian. haha, a couple parts of that movie still make me laugh really hard. But it's still pretty good. I think I might like it better than the first one. Except for the annoyingly obvious Christian references, that was much more present in this one than the first movie. Yes, I know it's a Christian allegory, I just hate it when they're so in your face about it. I'm here for the fantasy story. And the battle scenes. And the cute guys. *ahem* moving on... :p
but OMG the previews made me want to throw things. First was the Twilight trailer. It's still not any good on the big screen. Watching that movie is going to be a riot. Then, right after that, was the train wreck that is The City of Ember movie. WTF, did the director/screenwriter/whoever not read the book?! The entire twist at the end of the book is that the city is underground! They don't know that from the very beginning! What the hell are you doing?! And I caught something about the generator stopping or some shit and then people running around and there's the two kids and I have no idea what the fuck is going on. in the book the Mayor keeps the rest of the city from knowing anything is wrong at all. and there's no generator that breaks, or whatever, at least I don't think so, I don't remember anything like that.
Let's go down the list of EPIC FAIL, shall we? hm, where to start... Beowulf, Golden Compass, Twilight, I heard Seeker sucked (based on the first book of The Dark is Rising series by Susan Cooper), they're doing weird things with Harry Potter, *sigh*
I'd love to see someone do one of Tamora Pierce's books, but at this rate, forget it. Unless Peter Jackson does it. He's doing His Majesty's Dragon after The Hobbit is done, and I can't wait. He doesn't screw with books.
*edit* ewwwww, I was just on IMDB and the Twilight poster is on the main page. eeeewwwww
Anyway, I'm glad I started watching Wildfire, it'll hold me over until summer shows start (if there are any good ones, I don't know, I haven't heard about any of them yet). Everything is having season finales. Moonlight, NCIS, Grey's Anatomy, Lost, my shows are ending :(
OK, FOR ANYONE WHO WATCHES LOST, THERE ARE 3 HOURS OF IT ON THURSDAY. 3 HOURS omg it's going to be awesome. yeah, I know they're replaying the last episode, BUT THERE'S NEW FOOTAGE. I don't know why, but it better be worth rewatching the episode for.
WHY ARE YOU CANCELLING MOONLIGHT?! WHY?!?!?! why would you shoot a fireball there? haha anyway, but I'm glad that the preview was stupid and misleading and they didn't actually break up. Well, they did, but they got back together. Yay. Stupid CBS, I'm going to miss that show. Well, add that to my Christmas list.
the Grey's Anatomy finale made me happy inside. Except for Alex, that made me sad and want to give him a hug. awww, George and Lexi would be cute together. ok, were her feelings for George evident in previous episodes, or did I just miss it? lol, the whole sparkle pager thing makes me laugh. And I saw Callie and Hahn coming, probably around the end of the episode where Hahn kisses her in the elevator to make a point to Sloan. but yay, Sloan actually acted like a real person, without any smart comments or prejudices, and told Callie to go for it. This should be interesting next season.
OK, FIRST MOONLIGHT, NOW NCIS???!!!! WHAT. THE. FUCK. CBS. ok, the entire reason I watch and love this show is the dynamics between the team. It's hilarious. And the crimes they solve are always... interesing. and often unusual. anyway, the director died?!?! and Ziva, Tony, and McGee are all leaving?!?! WTF?!?! I'm not watching this show anymore! and yes, I'm sure that it's continuing. fuck you, CBS.
ahhhh, now that that's out of my system...
YAAAAAAAAAYYYY! I finally finished the story I've been working on. Vampires. I put it up on deviantART, I'm kinda lacking in the writing on there, I've got more photography than writing, which is kinda ironic. lol, whatever. But I feel good about the story.
ugh, job hunting sucks.
I have a stack of books to read, I got several advance copies from my book group meeting on Thursday, I can't wait. I've read 2 books not for class in the past 9 months. That's sad, and there's no excuse. Oh well, making up for it now :p I'm starting with Saga, the sequel to Epic, which is full of awesome. I'm hoping this one is the same. Then on to the first 3 Narnia books, then more books from the stack. yayyyyy books. :D
poo, I have an eye doctor appointment (at 9:30am, what's up with that?) and a dentist appointment tomorrow. I should probably go to bed now.
shit, that was long
