OMG. SOKKA. IS. AWESOME. !!! :D Please let that be in an actual episode. Please Nickelodeon, stop being a fucktard for once and make that awesomeness an episode.
So, the dragon dance this weekend. YESSSS! Best plan ever.
Anyway, I'm really happy with my schedule for classes in the fall, except for ComCol being FUCKFACES and letting all the juniors fill up the sophomore Dean's Book classes. Yes, all 25 sections (which totals 425 people, btw) were full by 1pm on Tuesday. And most sophomores started registering for classes on Tuesday. 425 people?! Seriously, WTF?!?! *grumbles* I suppose I should be happy because the only two sections that fit are at 9am. But I have to take it next semester because with the classes I need to take in the spring I can't take anything else, and because it's a 2 hour class it probably won't even fit in my schedule anywhere. DAMN YOU COMCOL!
*sigh* so I'm now pretending to be an English major, pretending to double major. Because UMass is retarded and you can only declare a minor once you've already completed all the courses required for the minor. And English 200, which is required for both English majors and minors, is only open on SPIRE to English majors. It's a damn catch-22. It would be fine, I could just email the professor of the section I'm trying to get into, because they all know that it's required for the minor but we can't register for it through SPIRE. If the professor for the section was freakin' listed! Of course the section I'm trying to get into is one of the two without a professor listed. pffft.
So, the wonderfully helpful (and I'm not being sarcastic, btw) lady at the English Dept. said to just declare English as my second major, I'd have to come see her again anyway, and she'll just drop the major and turn it into a minor once I've done all the classes for the minor. But I'm not really supposed to do that, so if anyone (aka advisors, teachers, etc.) asks, yes, I do intend to double major. My excuse for now is that I'm not sure if I want to major or minor, I'm leaning toward the major, but I need the same classes for both, so in order to get into those classes I just declared the major. That'll work for a while. And actually being an English major will probably help get me into the creative writing classes, rather than being a random animal science student with an English minor trying to get in.
