Ok so if anyone even reads my lj you are probably so sick of hearing about Saves the Day but YOU WANT TO READ THIS.
Tonight was absolutely positively the most incredible night of my life.
And I even got in a car accident on the way there and it was totally my fault and there's an enormous dent the length of my car on my car right now.
DESPITE THIS.... hahahaha ....

I need to recap this in full 'cause it's way too good.
So I get to the TLA and I'd never actually been there early enough to have to stand in line so I didn't realize they start it at the end of the block instead of in front of the venue so I asked these girls if it was the line and the girl behind me was like "is that the book!?" Yup, one of the boardies, I'm a total celeb. It was Tara and she also went by herself so we ended up hanging out the whole night. So we're standing in line and about an hour later we see Chris walking down the street in front of us and I pretty much froze. But Tara ran after him and I followed her. So, we chased Chris Conley down South Street. Oops. LOL. So I gave him the book/boxset and he just kept saying this is awesome this is awesome thank you and hugged me two different times. We chatted on the corner for like 10 or 15 minutes, then Manny came up and looked at it too and specifically said "this is insane", hahaha, but shortly after that they had to go so we went back to the line. I also included my business card in the box set. This will be important information to remember later.
Opening bands all blew except Set Your Goals was kinda fun. Megan and Lenny, the awesome kids I met at the show last October, got there right at the end of the first band, so they came up to the front with us too.
Saves The Day played an all request set that lasted two hours. TWO HOURS, no exaggeration. After maybe 9 or 10 songs he came over to me and asked what I wanted to hear and I said Kaleidoscope and he went back to the mic and said "This song is for Shannon." And said I'm a graphic design major and took like a whole minute or two and explained the whole project to everyone. !!!!! Dear lord. And it was so cute .. during the first song he spotted me and smiled. Then at the end as they were walking off stage he looked at me and mouthed "thank you" and did a little bow. haha =)

Yeah, 33 songs. AND AMAZING SONGS. I could barely have picked them better, except for Blindfolded and Banned From The Back Porch, which Chris told Tara and I prior to the show that they didn't know them. haha.
So afterwards we were hanging outside because Tara's ride wasn't there yet, and Chris came out. And I told him Bug Sessions sold out and I didn't get a copy of either. Booo.
But then he ended up staying and chatting for a few minutes again, and said he had to go finish packing up, and was starting to walk away and said, "Dave is going to give you a call (at this point my jaw probably dropped) ... we really liked it."
DAVE - AS IN THEIR GUITARIST. WHAT IN GOD'S NAME DOES THAT MEAN ?
Right after he walked away I started hyperventilating and almost cried.
Then Megan and Lenny and I got pizza and headed back to our cars and Megan tried to use the bathroom of the tanning salon that was inside the parking garage (!!?? hahahah) but it wasn't open because .. it was 12:30am. haha I freakin love those kids.
So I figure ... dent in my car fucking sucks, but at least whenever I look at it I'll remember this night??
